Shock Loss

Shock loss is completely reversible, unlike overharvesting. It is a temporary hair loss that begins about one month after the hair transplant and can continue for up to one year. It can occur in both the recipient and donor areas, and it is generally patchy. It is often related to the dosage of adrenaline used during the surgery. However, shock loss can also occur due to surgical trauma even if adrenaline was not used. Even if you don’t do anything, it will pass on its own, but to speed up the process, treatments such as finasteride, minoxidil, microneedling, and vitamin supplementation can be suggested.
